Chief Information Officer [CIO]

CIO or I.T. Director is the title given to the most senior executive in an enterprise responsible for the traditional information technology and computer systems that support enterprise goals. This is also the start of I.T. Governance and delegation of authority.

Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

A chief information security officer is the senior-level executive within an organization responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy, and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected.

Solution Architect

The practice of defining and describing an architecture of a system delivered in context of a specific solution and as such it may encompass description of an entire system or only its specific parts.

Cloud Architect

I.T. Professional who is responsible for overseeing a company's cloud computing strategy. It includes cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, cloud management and monitoring.

I.T. Administrator

Also known as a system administrator who is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, especially multi-user computers, such as servers.

Network Engineer

This role has the necessary skills to plan, implement and oversee the computer networks that support in-house voice, data, video and wireless network services.

Software Engineer

This role applies the principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of the software that make computers or other devices containing software work.

I.T. Project Manager

The role charged with overseeing the process of planning, executing and delegating responsibilities around an organization's information technology (I.T.) pursuits and goals.

I.T. Support Technician

This role offers support to users who are experiencing problems with their computers or software via in person visits, over the phone or online. I.T. Support address issues ranging from network systems to individual desktop computers and personal devices.

Computer Repair Technician

This role is the person who repairs/maintains computers and servers. This role may include building or configuring new hardware, installing and updating software packages and creating and maintaing computer networks.

I.T. Technologist

An I.T. Technologist is an expert in their particular field or technology who look after a specific portion of an organization's I.T. enviroment.

I.T. Specialist

An I.T. Specialist applies technical expertise to the implementation, monitoring or maintenance of I.T. systems and typically focus on a specific computer network, database or systems administration function.
